1. What you are agreeing to

These terms govern your use of the Barbr iPhone app. By downloading or using the app, you agree to them. If you do not agree, please do not use the app.

2. The app

Barbr is a standalone iOS app that uses AI to generate photoreal haircut previews of you from a selfie you provide. The app is free to download. Generating previews consumes tokens, which are sold in packs as in-app purchases through the Apple App Store.

The app does not require an account or sign-up. To generate previews, your selfie is sent to our generation service, processed, and deleted — see our Privacy Policy for details on how your selfie is handled.

3. Purchases

Token packs are consumable in-app purchases handled entirely by Apple. All payments, refunds, billing disputes, and tax are handled by Apple under the App Store's standard terms. We cannot process refunds directly; please use reportaproblem.apple.com to request one from Apple.

Tokens are consumed when a preview is generated. Unused tokens remain tied to your Apple ID and are usable on any device signed into the same Apple ID. Tokens have no cash value and cannot be exchanged for money.

Your use of Barbr is also governed by Apple's Licensed Application End User License Agreement, which applies in addition to these terms.

4. Your content and acceptable use

You must own or have the right to use any photograph you submit to Barbr. You agree not to submit photographs of other people without their consent, photographs of minors, or photographs that depict nudity, violence, or other prohibited content.

You agree not to use Barbr to impersonate another person, harass anyone, or create misleading content about real individuals. You agree not to reverse engineer, decompile, redistribute, or attempt to circumvent the in-app purchase mechanism or the generation service.

5. AI-generated output

Preview images are generated by an AI model. They are approximations and may not exactly reproduce how a given hairstyle will look on your hair in real life. Barbr is a decision-support tool, not a guarantee of a haircut result. Outcomes at the barber depend on your hair, your barber, and factors outside the app's control.

6. Warranty disclaimer

The app is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranty of any kind, express or implied. We do not warrant that the app will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that any specific outcomes (physical, mental, or otherwise) will result from its use.

7. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Barbr and its developer are not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising out of or related to your use of the app. This limitation does not apply to liabilities that cannot be excluded under applicable consumer-protection law.

8. Governing law and venue

These terms are governed by the laws of the Federal Republic of Germany, excluding its conflict-of-laws rules and the UN Convention on Contracts for the International Sale of Goods. The exclusive venue for disputes arising out of or in connection with these terms is Berlin, Germany, to the extent legally permissible. Mandatory consumer-protection rights in your country of residence remain unaffected.

9. Changes

We may update these terms. When we do, the updated version will be published at https://barbrapp.com/terms and the "Last updated" date above will change. Continued use of the app after a change constitutes acceptance.
